Message head stud size on huge builds.. Done on many muscle cars and many 1400rwhp supras.

The TQ of the studs doesn't necessarily make it handle the power.. its the cross-sectional size that isn't holding up to 1k hp mark..

I am sure you knew this.. but maybe you overlooked the post?

The drilling and tapping of the block to accept the new 9/16" head studs is not taking out so much of the integrity of the block because the strength of the stud itself will aid to the integrity of the block if properly installed. The block is cast iron and quite robust. I would understand if we are going within thousandths of the block edge or coolant/oil galley or if the block was aluminum.

I believe that the benefit of having larger studs will gain more positives over running stock sized studs AT that power level. IMO, it makes it worth it.

NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
